Varsity Tennis coach Taylor Loux’s main coaching philosophy is staying positive on the tennis court. His players believe that is his most admirable feature.
“He is never a negative person. He always made everything so positive,” Abigail Grenier, the captain of the Varsity Tennis team, said.
Since Loux has been hired as the Varsity Tennis coach for both girls and boys, he has always tried to make tennis more than just a sport where your only goal is to win; he tries to make it enjoyable no matter the end result.
“He is super welcoming, and a very great coach. He helped me personally tag along to tennis very fast, and he will do the same for other people,” Grenier said.
Loux is willing to teach a newcomer tennis and is always prepared to advance them to the level they need to be at.
“I learned a lot from working with Mr. Loux, and I want to be able to continue to garner and have the types of relationships that he has with students,” Albert Hasan, the Assistant Coach of the Varsity Tennis team, said.
Not only does coach Loux train his players to do their best in tennis, Loux also prepares them for their adulthood, so they succeed later in life too.
“I want our student athletes to be successful in whatever they choose to do. I value family and becoming a better person overall,” Loux said.
Loux is dedicated to coaching and makes an impact on his players as a result.
“Kids at both levels both admire and respect Mr. Loux because they know the amount of time and effort he puts into the tennis program,” Hasan said.
