1st place talent show winner

On Thursday, February 8th, the Argo Theater Department sponsored a talent show at the PAC (Portillo Performing Arts Center) where any Argo student could participate and perform their awesome talents!

At the beginning of the show, there were technical difficulties with the audio equipment due to a previous power outage because of the weather that day. The Argo Theater crew tried to keep the show going, but it was noticeable. Mr. Hernandez noticed the malfunction of the microphones and restarted the show, fixing the audio.

There were two acts in which Argo Theater members, staff, and students participated. The first act started with Tristian Gonzales dancing to “Beat It” by Michael Jackson. Followed up by Mr. Strzechowski and his amazing life drawing of Fred Flintstone for the second year in a row. The 1st act finished with an amazing electric guitar performance from Daniel Gill.

The 2nd Act was started by Abigail Routien singing about love. Followed up by Fransisco Romero’s triple rubrics cube solving in under 2 minutes. Then Brittney Meehan performed an interpretive dance that got to everyone’s hearts. Lastly, Mr. Hernandez and Mr. Rojas duo rapping “Get Your Grades Up.”

At the end of the evening, the top three winners were announced. Third place, Daniel Gill. Second place, Fransisco Romero. And first place, Britney Meehan.
