The most interesting thing in life is silence.
It is so scary, yet so peaceful.
So quiet, yet so loud.
So simple, yet so captivating,
Like an artist admiring another’s painting.
Silence reminds me of a balloon filled with water
Ready to explode with sounds that have been contained for far too long.
It is scary how in silence,
the loudest thing you can hear, and feel is your own thoughts.
You can hear and feel the happiness that comes from a memory. You can also feel the frustrations and your jaw clenching as a result of it. You can feel the tears roll down your eyes and feel the suffocating within your heart.
Yet the scariest thing is if you can’t hear them.
Silence is a tool capable of pain because it keeps you trapped within yourself.
Yet on that same line I could say that it is the most peaceful thing because it is only you in it.
It doesn’t matter what you do in silence
Because you are alone in silence with a lone spectator to your show: you.
