‘SuperCell’ of creators join forces to back new open world

BitCraft is an upcoming Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) where players can build and explore their heart’s content in a sandbox world. BitCraft is a mix between the games of Minecraft, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Animal Crossing. The game will focus on the player vs. environment (PvE) aspects of MMO gaming, such as crafting, farming, and city and market building.

In BitCraft, players have no set profession and can play the game however they choose. Players can choose to travel the vast world of BitCraft, find wildlife, hunt for rare materials, and even explore ancient ruins. Players can also hone their skills, such as farming and fishing, becoming masters in their respective areas.

The BitCraft world is one interconnected landscape, making it possible to travel from city to city without leaving the server. That is what makes BitCraft like Minecraft and Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It’s one enormous world, making town and city dynamics in the world possible. Letting players lead them and create their own economic and political structures.

BitCraft creators, Clockwork Labs, have the backing of many prominent people and companies in the game industry, such as CCP Games (creators of Eve Online) and David Helgason, the founder of Unity. Even Supercell, the makers of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, have invested in the development of BitCraft.

While there’s no official release date for BitCraft yet, invites to the closed pre-alpha will be sent out by the end of 2021. To learn more about BitCraft and to sign up for the chance to be a part of the pre-alpha, visit bitcraftonline.com.
