Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Coming to Nintendo Switch
January 30, 2021
Originally for the Nintendo Wii-U, Super Mario 3D world + Bowser’s Fury is coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 12th. Super Mario 3D World was released initially in November 2013 on the Wii-U. While Super Mario 3D World is normally level-based, Bowser’s Fury is a gigantic hub for players to travel around, like a Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey.
Super Mario 3D World is a level-based 3D platformer, like the level structure of 2D Mario games. The game also supports multiplayer and up to four players can go into each level as Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, or Rosalina. Each character has their own abilities – Luigi jumps the highest, Toad runs the fastest, Peach falls the slowest, and Rosalina can jump twice. The Nintendo Switch port will support online multiplayer and should run faster and at a higher resolution.
Bowser’s Fury adds several challenges for players to complete using the Cat Suit and other new power-ups from the base game. Players can team up with Bowser Jr., who can fight enemies and spawn items for Mario. Bowser’s Fury connects 3D World to Super Mario Odyssey, creating a middle ground for players.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury takes an old game from the Wii-U system, and revamps it onto the new Nintendo Switch platform. More gamers will get the chance to enjoy a fun and engaging game. To learn more about Nintendo news and new releases, visit Nintendo.com/whatsnew.
