A brief look into winter sports

As the leaves are falling, the autumn sports are ending, introducing the winter sports. This year many freshmen are getting ready to try out for the boys’ and girls’ basketball season this year.
Monday October 31st Argo girls will be able to try out for Varsity, JV, and Freshman basketball teams in the Swanson Gym and the Fieldhouse. Varsity try outs will be from 3:30 to 5:30 PM in the Swanson Gym. JV tryouts will be from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Fieldhouse. Then Freshman tryouts will be from 3:30 to 5:30 PM in the Fieldhouse.
“I’m very excited to meet the coaches and other team members and make friends,” said Freshman Harmony Perkins who’s currently on the freshman volleyball team.
Boys’ basketball tryouts are on Monday November 7 th for all levels from 3:15 to 6:00 PM in the Argo fieldhouse.
Bryce Barnett a freshman that is also a contributor to the maroon commented, “I am expecting a lot of success this season.”
That is if he can try out and compete this season. Last year, he broke his wrist.
“I was trying a punching bag thing at the mall the first time I hit it, I hit it pretty well the second time I hit it from the side and my wrist bent forward,” Bryce said.
